music selection tips

  • ​Ceremonies
    • We will perform approximately 30 minutes of prelude background music as guests are seated. Simply select a genre for this portion of the ceremony. If you would like pop music, let us know 2-3 requests so that we can get a sense of your taste and the mood desired. We will craft a playlist for the remaining prelude music in keeping with this style.
    • Some couples will select a specific song for the seating of special family members.
    • Select a specific song for the bridal party processional, if desired. 
    • Select a specific song for the processional as you walk down the aisle. 
      • ​We often enjoy the flow of a single processional for the family members, bridal party, and bride/groom. We feel that this gives a greater sense of one special song, rather than a taste of two or three songs. That being said, having a specific processional for your entrance can create a very special moment and signify your arrival to your guests! This is a completely personal choice.
    • Some couples will select a specific song for a special moment in the ceremony, such as a unity candle lighting, marriage license signing, or communion.
    • Select a specific song for the celebratory recessional. 
    • We will perform 1 or 2 pieces of background postlude music as guests transition from the ceremony to the reception. Select a genre for this portion of the ceremony. If you would like pop music, let us know 1-2 requests.
  • Cocktail Hours, Receptions, and Special Events
    • ​Select a genre. If you would like pop music, let us know 2-3 requests so that we can get a sense of your taste and the mood desired. We will craft a playlist with the remaining music to fill the appropriate amount of time. If you have specific must-have requests that you would love to hear, please let us know!
