client testimonials
KalHaven performed the ceremony and cocktail hour music for our August 2022 wedding. We could not have been happier with them! Megan was a dream to work with. Had a lot of good advice, and just went with the flow every time I changed my mind…which was a lot. I had some unconventional requests for our ceremony music, and they made it happen! Very professional, easy to talk to, and promptly replied to all of my emails. So easy to work with. If you are undecided about hiring, do yourself a favor and go for it. You will not be disappointed! We have gotten so many compliments from our guests. Hands down, one of my most favorite elements of our wedding. So happy we hired KalHaven, you will be too!

Superb musicianship, delightful personalities! As a retired orchestra director and educator it fell to me to arrange for music at my son's wedding. As the ceremony was to be in Holland, Michigan, and I live in Wisconsin, arrangements would necessarily be made 'long distance.' After doing an online search of wedding musicians in western Michigan, and reviewing their backgrounds, I contacted Megan Healy, manager of KalHaven Strings. Megan is a world class violinist as evidenced in the recital performances available on her personal website and on YouTube. The KalHaven Strings website also has samples of the wedding quartet that Megan leads. Working through the details of the quartet's performance was a pleasure. Communications with Megan were detailed, precise, and very prompt. The quartet played for the ceremony, cocktail reception, and dinner hour, suiting their repertoire to each segment of the afternoon. Musically, their intonation, phrasing, and ensemble blend were impeccable. Our guests loved their playing and I was asked many times how I found this quartet. You will delight in hearing them!

Couldn't be happier! I am SO glad that I found Megan while searching for a violinist to play during my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. I was set on having specific music playing (from a few different movies and some Lindsey Stirling songs). Megan was more than happy to play all of my requests, and at an extremely reasonable price. She played everything flawlessly, and really contributed to making my wedding unique and more perfect than I could have
imagined!

The violinist was the perfect touch! Our son and his bride had a small, personal beautiful wedding at The Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder, CO. They didn't want a lot of fuss and wanted to keep it very intimate. Megan Healy was the perfect addition as a solo violinist. She had us organized and on track regarding her part of their wedding. She made the process seamless for choosing the music and meeting the deadlines. I would highly recommend her for any social event. She and her violin were the cherry on top of our family's special occasion.
